Upper Limb Braces and Supports- From Shoulder to Thumb

Whether you are looking for an everyday brace or post injury support, our Zamst range provides you with a number of options to choose from. However, picking the right brace can be difficult when you don’t know what you are looking for, and that is where we are here to help! Upper limb joint pain can be difficult to pinpoint and it is important that if you are suffering from any joint pain, that you seek advice from a medical professional. Once you are able to obtain a greater understanding of your pain, picking the right brace becomes easier.

The RecoverFit brace finder gathers information to provide you with a selection of braces that would suit you.

  1. First of all the brace finder will look to understand where on your arm you are experiencing pain. Whether you have torn a ligament, suffer from tendonitis or simply need a brace for prevention purposes.
  2. Depending on what injury you have, the brace finder will aim to determine the type of injury you are experiencing. If it is for maintenance purposes you may be asked for levels of activity or sporting use.
  3. Level of support and what’s most important to you in a brace is key and is very individual to your needs. For example, for wrist braces the thinnes might be super important in order to wear the brace under a glove or clothing. Alternatively ease of application might take priority if you would struggle to apply a brace with one hand.

Our Zamst range encompasses a range of upper limb supports from the shoulder down to the thumb, below is a description of each brace available to purchase at RecoverFit.com.

Shoulder

The shoulder wrap aims to stabilise shoulder with high fixing force without hindering movement. It provides support for your shoulder to relieve stress caused by rotator cuff aggravation and pain caused by general shoulder injuries. The wrap can be used when playing sport due to the water absorbent material and can fit comfortably on the shoulder without feeling too bulky. The shoulder wrap can be applied easily due to the sleeve type design on the upper arm, then the velcro straps across the chest and arm to add a compression element and keep the wrap in place.

Elbow

Reduce pain caused by tennis and golfers elbow with the Zamst Elbow band. Elbow pad compression reduces the strain and can be placed on the inner or outer side of the elbow depending on where you require the support most. Sweat absorbing and quick drying fabric allows you to wear this elbow band comfortably playing sport and in all weather conditions. Simply pass your hand through the band, place the elbow pad 4 to 5 cm below (closer to the wrist) the area where you feel pain, adjust the strap and you’re all set.

Wrist

The Zamst range has two wrist band options, the Filmista wrist and the wrist band. The Filmista wrist is a thinner, lighter support option. Two different types of elastic urethane films compressed around the wrist to reduce strain caused by wrist sprain, instability and tendonitis. The Filmista wrist has a dual strap that you pull round to adjust how tightly you would like to wear the support and is easy to apply on your own. The thin material makes this wrist support perfect to wear under clothing or gloves without sticking out or getting in the way.

The Zamst wrist band is the increased support option. The dual strap structure allows the user to adjust compression level for firm stabilisation. In addition, the product does not use hard materials, they can be used in a variety of sports. This easy to apply wrist band also has anti-slip tape attached to the inside of the main body holds the wrist securely and suppresses slipping off during activity.

Thumb

The Zamst thumb guard is optimal for thumb stabilisation and suppression of movement. A thermal fit guard made of thermoplastic material allows you to mould the support with warm water to fit the shape of your thumb. This individualisation enhances the support provided by the guard and the compact shape reduces bulkiness to allow the thumb support to be worn under a glove.
